Have you always wished you could run your Android applications on windows? With Windows 11 Microsoft has granted your wish, in a limited fashion, with their Windows Subsystem for Android. This subsystem officially only allows you to install Android apps from the Amazon Appstore but it is possible with a little work to actually sideload Andoid apks, root the Windows Android Subsystem, and even install the Google Play store so that you can install the full range of applications available to Android users on native Android hardware platforms. In this blog post I will just give you the basic on how to install the basic implementation that Windows 11 allows. In the future I will either write or provide links on how to get full usability for those of you who are techies and want to expand the basic Windows 11 Android support to include the whole enchilada of a wide open Android system with Play Store support as well as how to root this system if you so desire. Not a techie but don't like Microsoft limiting you? Feel free to call me and I can set you up with Android on your Windows 11 that is not limited in scope as it is now. Eventually, Microsoft might allow these capabilities out of the box but for now you have to dance for your full Android system. Anyways, for those of you who just want to dip you feet into the vanilla Microsoft Android waters read on to see how to do it..

To install Android apps on your computer, use these steps:
As you will be able to see there are only a limited amount of Android applications available to you through the Amazon Appstore with promises of more being added regularly. You will find lots of instructional videos as well as step by step articles that will guide you through it. Want it but don't want to jump though hoops to get it? Feel free to call me and I can do it for you!
